Ken and Lisa Gandy fell in love with Collier County in 2001 when they discovered Marco Island while on vacation and put a pre-construction home in Fiddler’s Creek under contract the next day. Soon after, they started making plans to make Collier County their full-time home. Unlike so many people who retire, move to FL and decide to get their real estate license for “something to do”, the Real Estate industry has been their careers for many decades. With combined real estate experiences of over 60 years, their backgrounds include owning private and franchise real estate companies, new construction marketing & sales, mortgage origination, title insurance and a very extensive background in resales. In the 15 years they have lived in Collier County, they have experienced strong markets, the “crash” and balanced markets. Because of that, they can assist their customers in a wide area of market conditions and sales procedures (including short sales and foreclosures). Their unique backgrounds enable them to provide the highest level of service to their customers by knowing the ins and outs of the transaction from all angles. Their new home community background enables them to negotiate with builders to get better prices, upgrades or features for their customers.  They know how to communicate with lenders to make sure the lenders have everything they need to process the loan quickly. They know what potential issues can come up in the title search process which allows them to be proactive in working with title companies and attorneys to keep the sales process on track. Their philosophy is to put their customers’ needs above their own. Whether they are working with Buyers or Sellers, they will put their experience to work on their customers’ behalf to help them achieve their goals.

Not only do they work in the Marco Island and Naples area, they live here, too. Some of the organizations they have been, or are, involved with are Marco Island Lion’s Club, Newcomers Club of Marco Island, We Are Just Friends Club of Marco Island, Marco Island Yacht Club, Naples Community Hospital and have raised funds for Christmas Island Style, Marco Patriots, Junior Achievement and many others. In their spare time, they enjoy playing golf, traveling in their motorhome and spending time with family, friends and their dog, Bailey.

Lisa grew up in Northeastern PA and moved to the Philadelphia area after college. Her career has always focused on working with people, helping them in the best way possible. Her Real Estate background is very unique. She began as a mortgage processor for a Savings & Loan bank in the Philadelphia area, then moved on to Mortgage Solicitor for the same bank. She worked with customers in obtaining financing to purchase as well as refinancing their homes. After several years on the Mortgage end, she moved on to a small Title Insurance Company and worked as a closing agent. In this position, she was very “hands-on” throughout the entire title process from writing the title binders to performing the closings for both purchases and refinances. This small, 2-person operation handled over 350 settlements every year which meant being focused and detailed was critical. It was after moving to Marco Island that Lisa decided to complete the Real Estate experience by obtaining her FL sales license in 2007. While most would say that was not exactly the best time to get into the business, Lisa felt it was the perfect time to learn the wide variety of transactions from straight-forward resales to foreclosures and short sales. No matter what capacity Lisa has worked in, her priority has always been to put her customers’ needs first. She takes the time to get to know them by listening, asking questions and focusing on what is important to them. Combine that with her background, she provides her customers with quality service because she knows how every aspect of the Real Estate transaction works.

Ken grew up in Southeastern and Central Pennsylvania. His college degree is in teaching but after a year of teaching, the Real Estate bug bit him. While he enjoyed helping his students learn, he enjoyed the intricacies of the Real Estate sales process more. Ken’s career has spanned over 45 years so he has experienced many market conditions, from the double-digit interest rates of the 1970’s to the short-sale and foreclosure market of the 2000’s. Throughout his career, Ken has been the broker of a small, “mom and pop” type Real Estate company as well as national franchise offices. He handled the sales and marketing of several small new construction communities in the Philadelphia area by developing a marketing plan, designing advertising and hiring the sales teams to sell the homes. Ken’s biggest passion is strategizing and negotiating on behalf of his customers. His background in new construction enables him to find ways for his customers to save on their purchase of new homes. In resales, if there are unique situations for either the buyer or the seller, he will work to find a way to work through those situations that is a win/win for both parties. His initial love of helping his students has carried throughout his Real Estate career as he helps his customers obtain their goals, whether they need to buy or sell a property.
